WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Dave McCormick says a radical, far-left faction of the Democratic Party is gaining influence. The Pennsylvania Republican US Senator made the comments during an appearance on the Newsmax program “Finnerty.”
Sen. McCormick pointed to recent Democratic primary results and criticized what he sees as growing anti-Israel and anti-law enforcement sentiment, “What you see is a radicalization of the Democratic Party. It’s the party of…Al-Sayed. This is a party that’s anti-law enforcement, it’s anti-military, its anti-business, it’s anti-Semitic, and it’s anti-American.”
Sen. McCormick distinguished that faction from other Democrats and praised fellow Pennsylvania U.S. Senator John Fetterman. He said Fetterman has shown “moral courage” by opposing some positions within his party.
Later, McCormick praised his working relationship with Sen. Fetterman, despite their political differences. He said Pennsylvanians appreciate seeing the two senators work together.
