Drivers should expect several temporary road closures () , Aug. 3) during a flood-control exercise in Sunbury. Crews will test floodwall equipment and closure structures at multiple locations.
· East Market Street, Route 61, will close from 9 to 11 a.m. between Eleventh Street and Highland Avenue. Traffic will detour using Eleventh Street, Snydertown Road and Black Mill Road.
· A portion of South Tenth Street will close from 9 to 11 a.m. while crews inspect floodwall equipment. Local detours will be posted.
· The northbound lane of Shikellamy Avenue will close from 10 a.m. to noon between the bridge and the railroad tracks. That detour will use Fourth Street, Route 61 and Front Street.
