Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn joined Timberline Glamping Company at French Creek State Park to talk about the expansion, which will add 61 glamping sites across eight state parks in scenic regions throughout the Commonwealth. Online reservations are now open for Spring 2026.
HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania has introduced luxury camping, or glamping, at three state parks through a pilot program. New climate-controlled canvas tents are available at Hickory Run, Promised Land and French Creek state parks.
The furnished tents include beds, electricity, air conditioning, heating and small appliances. Officials say the sites make camping easier for beginners and visitors with accessibility needs.
The state plans to expand the program to parks in York, Tioga, Somerset and Crawford counties. Officials say demand has been strong, with many summer weekends already fully booked at participating parks.
