SUNBURY — Transitions of PA received a $2,000 Battram Community Fund grant for its Safe Nights, Strong Connections program. The program provides emergency hotel lodging when traditional shelter is unavailable or unsuitable for a survivor’s circumstances.
Participants also receive advocacy, safety planning and connections to counseling, legal services, housing, and other community resources. Transitions says funding also helps provide food, clothing, toiletries, medications, and Chromebook access.
Chief Executive Officer Mae-Ling Kranz says the support helps survivors move from crisis toward stability and independence. Transitions serves survivors across Union, Snyder and Northumberland counties through shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and housing assistance.
