BLOOMSBURG — Commonwealth University has launched a new online certificate program focused on artificial intelligence for professional practice. The university says the 12-credit program is designed for students and working professionals from any major or career background.
Officials say no coding knowledge or technical experience is required. The program is housed in the Zeigler College of Business and focuses on hands-on use of AI tools in business, education, communications, and administration.
Professor Karl Kapp says AI is becoming a foundational skill across industries. Program coordinator Jessica Briskin says the certificate will help students build confidence using AI to improve day-to-day productivity.
