SELINSGROVE — PPL says this weekend’s severe weather ranks among the ten most impactful storms in the utility’s history. The utility says heavy rain and wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour caused widespread damage, including downed trees, broken poles and damaged power lines.
The utility says more than 2,300 damage locations have been identified since . They say power has been restored to more than 130,000 customers, but as of evening, about 88,500 remain without service. PPL says some restoration work could continue through .
