DELANO — DCNR says 20 miles of new single-track trails are opening at the Catawissa Recreation Area in Weiser State Forest. The new southern section covers 725 acres in Schuylkill and Luzerne counties.
State officials say the trails are for dual-sport motorcycles and are open sunrise to sunset. ATVs are not permitted on the new trails.
Seasonal passes will be available July 6 through September 27 at the Weiser District Forest Office in Aristes. Passes cost $45 for Pennsylvania residents and $65 for nonresidents. DCNR says the trails are rated difficult to expert level. Motorcycles must have valid Pennsylvania registration.
