DELAWARE TOWNSHIP — PennDOT says a bridge repair project continues this week on the Eighth Street bridge over Interstate 180 in Northumberland County.
PennDOT says rolling roadblocks are planned on westbound I-180 while a crane removes a beam from the Eighth Street bridge. The intermittent stops are expected to begin around 7:30 a.m.
Eighth Street remains closed between Susquehanna Trail and Route 44 while Rylind Construction Company removes and replaces a beam damaged in a bridge strike last year. A detour using Susquehanna Trail and Route 44 is expected to remain in place through August, with the $639,000 project scheduled for completion in September.
