MILTON — Luzerne County Community College has received a $1 million state grant to expand free dual-credit programs for high school students. WOLF-TV reports that the funding will support students in rural and underserved communities across northeastern and central Pennsylvania during the next two school years.
The grant will cover tuition, textbooks, course materials, transportation help, and instructor training. LCCC officials announced the grant at the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit in Milton. College President John Yudichak says the program will help bring early college opportunities to communities with limited access.
