DANVILLE — Operators of the new Montour County Emergency Shelter are reminding the community that community help and support is still needed. On the Good Samaritan Mission website, they say the shelter continues caring for people displaced by the Danville Suites condemnation.
Good Samaritan, Gatehouse, AGAPE, Montour County officials, all say overnight volunteers are urgently needed to help cover shifts. Organizers are also still looking for meals. Individuals, churches, civic groups, businesses, and organizations can sign up to help. The shelter is also looking for essential items for guests.
To volunteer, provide a meal, donate items, or learn more, contact Carin Wharton at 570-594-7793 or director@gsmdanville.org.
