The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to an open house to view preliminary improvement plans for Ridge Road in Point Township, Northumberland County. This open house will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Northumberland, on Tuesday, June 30, between the hours of 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
The Ridge Road Restoration Project is proposed to include pavement rehabilitation, shoulder widening, roadway curve adjustments, and other improvements to the 6-mile section of Ridge Road between PA Route 147 (CSVT) and US Route 11. Preliminary engineering for the project is ongoing. Construction is currently anticipated to start in 2028 and be completed in 2030.
Representatives of PennDOT and its design team will be available during the meeting to explain the preliminary plans, answer questions, and receive comments regarding the project.
Beginning on Monday, June 29, the meeting displays will be available for viewing on the project website Ridge Road (SR 1024) – Point Twp. Northumberland County . The public will be able to provide feedback on the preliminary plans through a questionnaire that will be available at the meeting and on the project website between July 1 and July 15.
