MILTON — Milton volunteers were on the go afternoon to the 100 block of Milton for a non-injury crash involving a box truck and a fuel leak. Fire officials say the truck struck and removed a fire hydrant, puncturing its fuel tank.
Pennsylvania American Water and Northumberland County Emergency Management were called because diesel fuel was leaking near multiple storm drains. Fire crews used booms, pads, oil dry and putty to contain the leak and try to seal the tank. Milton Police, fire police, hazmat crews and Bressler’s Towing and Hazmat also responded.
