HARRISBURG — State Sen. Lynda Schlegel Culver says more than 150 Scouts from across Pennsylvania visited the state Capitol for Scouting America’s annual Report to the Commonwealth. Culver joined Rep. Justin Fleming in welcoming the Scouts .
The report highlighted service, leadership development, civic engagement and community contributions. Culver says Scouting America serves more than 45,000 Pennsylvania youth in 2,188 local units.
The report says 1,687 Pennsylvania Scouts earned the Eagle Scout Award. Scouts also took part in Senate session, including serving as guest chaplain, leading the Pledge of Allegiance and reciting the Scout Oath and Law.
