VALLEY TOWNSHIP — A hotel shelter near Danville has been shut down, leaving more than 50 residents looking for another place to stay. WNEP reports code enforcement officers posted condemned signs at Danville Suites, just off Interstate 80. Officials say the hotel was condemned because of mold.
The notice means no one may stay there. The hotel has become a shelter for individuals who have few other housing options. WNEP reports many residents were still outside or on balconies afternoon. Bloomsburg-based Agape and other agencies are working to help people staying at the hotel find another place to go.
