WATSONTOWN — A Memorial Day service is planned at Watsontown Cemetery on honoring veterans and Union soldiers buried there. Organizers say the program begins at 2:30pm at the cemetery on East First Street with a service led by the Watsontown American Legion Honor Guard.
Immediately following the ceremony, members of the Captain John P.S. Gobin Camp 503 Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will honor 10 Union soldiers buried in the cemetery. Organizers say the public is encouraged to attend the Memorial Day observance.
