DANVILLE — The Danville Area School Board has approved a proposed $51.1 million budget for the 2026-27 school year. District officials say the spending plan increases expenses by about 5.5 percent, driven largely by rising employee benefit and healthcare insurance costs.
District Business Manager Lance Mabus says healthcare expenses alone are expected to rise more than 20 percent district-wide. The proposal includes a 3.5 percent Act One tax increase, adding about $50 annually to a median-value Danville home and about $53 in Riverside. Final adoption is .
