CATAWISSA — Knoebels Amusement Resort has announced they are donating more than $12,000 to support a local fire company. Officials say the Knoebels Kares program presented a check to that Valley Chemical Fire Company in the Elysburg area.
The fire company, established in 1924, provides emergency services to Knoebels and nearby communities. Resort officials say the Knoebels Kares program launched in 2024 to expand charitable giving through seasonal fundraisers.
Last year, organizers said more than $10,000 was donated to another nonprofit through the program. Applications are now open for the 2026 Knoebels Kares program year. More information is available at knoebels.com/info/community.
