DANVILLE — A big construction project will start soon in Montour County. A project to upgrade the Lake Chillisquaque spillway is set to begin this spring and a meeting to discuss the plan is set for . Talen Energy says the work, when complete, will slow water flow and reduce erosion during heavy rain. They say construction is expected to last 12 to 18 months.
Company representatives will host an open house from 6pm to 8pm at the Montour Preserve Visitors’ Center. Officials say residents can stop by at any time to learn more and ask questions. More information is available at SpillwayUpgrade.com.
