POINT TOWNSHIP — Nighttime paving is set to begin next week along Route 405 in Point Township, affecting drivers near Northumberland. PennDOT says the project will bring lane restrictions and overnight work as crews begin improvements. PennDOT says work begins between Eighth Street and just north of Sports Zone Drive.
Crews will mill the roadway first, then complete resurfacing later in the week, weather permitting. Drivers will encounter single-lane traffic with flagging during work hours, which run through from 7pm to 6am. The $2.8 million project includes resurfacing 3.5 miles, and upgrades drainage guiderail and signage.
