LEWISBURG — Two women are accused of stealing nearly $1,500 in merchandise from a Lewisburg grocery store. Daily Item reports 49-year-old Keri Bailey of Williamsport and 38-year-old Danielle Wertz of Montoursville were charged following multiple incidents at Giant on Hardwood Drive.
Police say the thefts happened five times between November and January, with items taken individually and together. They say surveillance video shows the amount increasing each time, including one incident totaling more than $1,000. Authorities say the total value stolen was about $1,487. Both face felony retail theft charges.
