MOUNT CARMEL — A major commercial fire shut down some local streets night in the borough of Mount Carmel. Emergency crews responded to a second-alarm blaze in the 100 block of South Spruce Street. Flames were seen shooting from the top of the structure
Authorities say firefighters from several departments were called to battle the fire. Media reports say the fire involved the former Columbia Building Supply building. WNEP reports. Officials with Overlook Fire Company say the building also once operated as a lumber supply company.
