STATE COLLEGE — Penn State police are warning students not to bring electric scooters back to campus after spring break. The Centre Daily Times reports officers’ plan to increase enforcement of the university’s ban.
University officials say the policy prohibits motor-driven devices such as e-scooters and e-boards on campus property. The Centre Daily Times reports that the rule applies to buildings, sidewalks, roads, bike paths, and shared pathways.
Police say students who violate the policy could face educational referrals or fines exceeding $225. University officials say the increased enforcement is intended to improve safety across campus.
