MOUNT CARMEL — A preliminary hearing is delayed again for a Trevorton area man charged with attempted homicide. The News Item reports that 28-year-old Joshua Cohoon remains jailed without bail while undergoing a mental health evaluation.
A magistrate granted the delay at the request of a defense attorney. Court records show the hearing has now been postponed three times since it was first scheduled.
The Item reports police allege Cohoon stabbed a man multiple times after an argument over money. Investigators say the victim escaped after Cohoon’s father restrained his son. Both men received treatment at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
