HARRISBURG — In Berwick Borough, two aging industrial buildings will soon come down after state funding was secured. State house member Robert Leadbeter says nearly $936,000 will help clear hazardous structures inside the Berwick Industrial Development Association complex.
Rep. Leadbeter says the funding comes from the Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites program. He says the money will cover demolition and asbestos removal at the industrial site.
He says removing outdated buildings will prepare the property for modern development. He says the project sends a clear message that Columbia County is open for business.
