LEWISBURG — The Standard Journal reports the Buffalo Valley Regional Police Department (BVRPD) Commission voted to retain Chief Dan Embeck in a year-long employment agreement on Wednesday, setting his salary at a little more than $111,000. That is a 4 percent increase over his previous salary.
The newspaper reports the police department will welcome a new police officer, Jaivin Shively, on March 2 and will promote Corporal Joshua Dreisbach to sergeant, with the pending retirement of Sergeant Shawn Burns in June.
