SUNBURY — A 31-year-old mother of 4 in Sunbury is getting help through the Here. For Good. holiday campaign. She tells organizers high utility bills and food costs leave little for gifts.
The mother, Tisheera, says she moved from Philadelphia in 2022 for a fresh start and initially stayed at Haven Ministry. She says she now has a full-time job and no longer lives at the shelter.
The Salvation Army says Here. For Good. continues the Needy Family Fund, raising more than $3.8 million since 1987. Organizers say this year’s goal is $175,000, with donations accepted online at hereforgoodcampaign.org.
