Holiday Aid Campaign Helps Sunbury Mother Provide Gifts
SUNBURY — A Sunbury mother of three says the rising cost of food and gifts pushed her to seek help through the Here. For Good. program. Evelyn says she was hesitant at first, but she’s grateful for the kindness she found at the Salvation Army while signing up for assistance.
Evelyn’s daughters, ages 8 and 10, enjoy art supplies, and her 16-year-old son is interested in gaming. She says she hopes to find part-time work but caring for her children makes it difficult. The campaign, a continuation of the long-running Needy Family Fund, has raised $28,500 toward its $175,000 goal. Donations can be made at hereforgoodcampaign.org.
