HARRISBURG — A statewide push to protect dogs is underway as 2026 dog licenses go on sale . State Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding says licensing is required for all Pennsylvania dog owners and funds dog wardens who safeguard animals and communities.
Sec. Redding says Pennsylvanians expect strict oversight of owners, kennels, and breeders. He says the state has expanded dog warden staffing, improved kennel rules, and strengthened protection against dangerous or stray dogs. More details are available at licenseyourdogpa.pa.gov.
