WILLIAMSPORT — The News Item reports former Mount Carmel Borough police officers Jonathan McHugh, Kyle Schauer and David Donkochik are scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 30 on a count of conspiracy to violate civil rights. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, one or more of the defendants kicked, punched, choked or otherwise used excessive force against those they were arresting during 22 different arrests between June 2018 and October 2021. The News Item reports in those arrests, they caused bodily injuries to their victims.
