MILTON — Visiting The Valley is more popular than ever. Tourism spending across Northumberland, Snyder, and Union counties climbed to $469.5 million in 2024, according to a new state report. Officials say that marks a 3.5% increase from the previous year.
The Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau says recreation continues to drive growth, thanks to attractions like Knoebels Amusement Resort, and the Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area. They say when families visit, the benefits ripple outward to restaurants, shops, gas stations, and lodging.
The regional tourism office says the entire state offers world-class sports, dining, historic sites, and outdoor adventures. The Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau continues to expand marketing to attract more visitors.
