WINFIELD — A tragic motorcycle crash claimed a man’s life in Union County evening.
State police say 65-year-old Craig Aderk of Winfield was riding north on Trutt Road in Union Township around 6:30pm when two deer entered the roadway. His motorcycle struck one of the animals, causing him to lose control and slide. Aderk was thrown from the bike and came to rest in the middle of the road.
Emergency crews transported him to WellSpan at Evangelical Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation by the Milton state police.
