PA Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver speaks to guests at a Central PA Chamber of Commerce legislative event
HARRISBURG — A local lawmaker is inviting residents to take part in Hunger Action Month in September by donating unexpired, non-perishable food items at her district offices. State senator Lynda Schlegel Culver says all donations will go directly to local food banks to support families in need across the 27th District.
Sen. Culver says even small contributions can make a big difference for neighbors struggling with food insecurity. Food can be dropped off during regular business hours at her offices in Bloomsburg, Mount Carmel, Shamokin Dam, and Luzerne County. Donations will be accepted throughout the month of September.
