Mission Mall
People looking for the perfect holiday gift for those who already have everything, and even for those who don’t, can purchase a gift of charity on behalf of a loved one. Gifts can be purchased at Mission Mall at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mifflinville, Pa. from noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 2 and Dec. 9.
Eighteen non-profit agencies will be at the church to explain how donations are put to work for people here at home and abroad. Participants can offer a financial gift to a charity or a gift of time or talent on behalf of someone you wish to recognize.
Donations for the agencies are given to St. John’s Church who turns 100 percent of the proceeds over to the appropriate charities when the mall closes. In return, St. John’s gives donors a charitable donation receipt for tax purposes and lovely note card about the donation. The note cards can then be given like gifts to special people in your life.
